Enjoy a gorgeous run traversing Rocky Mountain National Park through golden aspens and large elk herds gathered for their famous fall rut.

We’ll depart from your hotel in Denver at 5:15am for Estes Park, arriving at Cub Lake trailhead by 7:00 am where your run will commence at first light.  We can also meet at the trailhead and shuttle you back to your car at the end of the day if that’s more convenient for you.

You’ll start by heading 2.6 miles past Cub Lake to Mill Creek trail junction where you’ll take a left.  Follow signs to Bierstadt Lake and then Bierstadt trailhead, (approximately 6.5 miles into the run at this point).  Cross Bear Lake road and veer left to Storm Pass trailhead.  After about about 4 miles on this trail you’ll reach Storm Pass and a trail junction.  Go right toward Longs Peak trailhead.  Get on Longs peak trail and head to Granite Pass (about 6 miles from Storm Pass.)  At the junction take the North Longs Peak trail up to Glacier Gorge and then Bear Lake trailhead (5 miles from Granite Pass, mile 21.5 total.)  We’ll be waiting for you here with lunch and a re-supply.  Take the Flattop Mtn. trail up 4.3 miles to the junction with Tonahutu Creek trail, which you’ll follow for 13 miles to the finish at Grand Lake.

Rides back will depart from Tonahutu Creek trailhead where we’ll be waiting with food and drinks.
